We offer daily tours of Bleak House which includes a visit to Charles Dickens study and the Smuggling Museum.

Smuggling Museum

The Thanet coast was infamous for it's smuggling activities in the 18th and 19th centuries. Bleak House cellars accommodate a Smuggling Museum. Tours include a visit to the museum in order see the exhibits, many of which were rescued from an eighteenth century shipwreck discovered off the coast of Broadstairs in the early 1970's.

Our Tea Rooms serve traditional cream teas, coffee, freshly made sandwiches, baguettes, homemade cakes, fine wines & bottled beers.
