Access
Unfortunately we currently do not have wheelchair access.

Parking
We have a limited number of car parking spaces. However, secure public car parking is available just a short walk away.

Payment for Weddings & Functions
A non-refunable deposit of £1000 is required to secure the dates.
Total charges due must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to function.

Guest Numbers
We should receive this information 14 days prior to your event. The exact number of guests must be confirmed within 7 days of your event and our charges are based on actual final guest numbers confirmed then. However, we will try our very best to accommodate last-minute additions.

Corkage
It is company policy that we do not permit guests to bring their own food, wine, beer, spirits or soft drinks for consumption at an event held at Bleak House, with the exception of celebration cakes.

Wedding Evening Functions & Buffets
Should your wedding continue into the evening, an additional evening buffet must be served to a minimum of 80% of the total guests attending.

Gardens
Feel free to explore our gardens. However - Be aware that our gardens and terraces have steps and uneven surfaces. We do not accept responsibility for any negilgence on the part of guests and attendees.

Prices
Prices quoted on our website and within our printed material are subject to alteration without prior notice.

Wedding Reception Extras
We make no charge for background music, cake stand, knife etc.
No floral decorations or table arrangements are included in prices shown on this website.

Entertainment - Bands & Discos
Noise levels are monitored and must not exceed 96 decibels. If entertainers fail to comply with this limit the power supply is disconnected.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure entertainers using electrical equipment have the appropriate PAT testing certification and Public Liability Insurance. Entertainers and discos must leave within 45 minutes of the booked finishing time. The management has the right to change the entertainment policy at any time.

Equipment & Property
Clients own equipment and property is brought in to Bleak House at their own risk. We accept no liability for loss or damage. Wedding presents must be removed from the premises as the company cannot accept these items for safe-keeping. Our insurance does not include loss or damage to personal possessions belonging to you or guests either within Bleak House, our grounds or Car Park.

Damage
Clients are responsible for any damage caused either by them or their guests, agents or employees. This applies to all areas and grounds belonging to Bleak House.

Agents
Should a client enter a contract with Bleak House through an agent, the agent acts for the client and it is the client's responsibility for payment of the Bleak House account.

Bedroom
Checkout time is 11.00AM. This is to allow sufficient time for our staff to service the room.
The earliest check-in time possible is 2.00PM

Bedroom Cancellations
Room cancellations must be notified to us at least 24 hours prior to the day of arrival. If we are unable to re-let the room, or in the event of non-arrival, you will be invoiced for the confirmed room rate.
Room deposits are non-refundable.

Conference & Function Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 6 months or more prior to the event - Loss of deposit only
Cancellation 3-6 months prior to the event - 50% of full function fee
Cancellation 14 days - 3 Months prior to the event - 75% of full function fee
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to the event - Full payment
